Our Mission

We are committed to the academic and professional development of our members and their University experience as a whole. Through our relationships with the Portland business community and various professional Human Resource organizations, we provide our members ample opportunity  to gain valuable insight into the world of Human Resources.

2008-2009 Chapter Goals

 WIN:

·        Receive the Outstanding Student Chapter Merit Award

·        Receive the Superior Merit Award, for the 28th consecutive year

 CONNECT:

·        Form connections between PSU HRMA and HRMA Alumni

·        Communicate with each other effectively and efficiently

·        Build and maintain the HRMA website that markets the organization and provides excellent communication to our members

·        Develop an HRMA Logo that will help us to be better identified

·        Interest our members with speaker topics that intrigue the mind and help them to learn what the field of Human Resources is all about

 SUSTAIN:

·        Smooth succession to incoming officers and members

·        Increase member count

·        Maintain a high level of organization throughout the duration of the year

 SHINE:

·        Develop a professional image within our community

·        Support a cause! Be involved in some way with the community

·        Have fun… With each other and through all processes of planning, organizing and taking part in various events throughout the year
